No telemetry. AL does not phone home. No usage stats, no crash reports, no tracking of any kind.
Local-first storage. Config, reminders, devices, and audit logs are stored in SQLite on your own machine.
Encrypted keys. API keys are encrypted with AES-128 (Fernet) using a machine-specific key. Never stored in plaintext.
HTTPS everywhere. AL generates a self-signed TLS certificate and binds to localhost only. Nothing is exposed to the internet.
Token auth & rate limiting. Every API call requires a rotating 64-char token. Brute-force lockout after 5 failures.
100% local option. Choose Ollama as your AI provider and nothing leaves your machine — not even prompts.
Audit log. Every sensitive action is logged locally. You can review exactly what AL accessed and when.
Home directory only. The desktop agent can only read files inside your home folder. No system files, no hidden credentials.
* When using cloud AI providers (Gemini, OpenAI, Claude), your prompts are sent to that provider's API. This is unavoidable for cloud inference — choose Ollama if you require 100% local processing.
